Samurott has 528, Feraligatr, Empoleon and Blastoise 530 and Swampert 535.

Even starters from the same gen have different BST. Charizard is 534, while Venusaur is 524

I hate how they make the same mistake on Chenaught that they made on Viridion: The typing is excellent (for their niche), but it does need mixed defenses. Viridion dies a bit too quickly to physical attacks... And I think Chesnaught will have the same problem with special attacks.
Delphox looks nice, but if it really has 100 base speed, TrollFreak strikes again. I cannot see it do anything Infernape does not to 10x better.
So far Greninja is clearly the best. Water is a good typing and the speed is great. Water Shuriken gives it a great niche at countering subs and stuff. Also, Protean will give it a even more unique niche and while it's a bit too exotic to make it into staple OU teams, I see great potential in the teams of good players.

Physical afaik. People aim at natures when they have a strategy and they have a strategy when they have a metagame and they have a metagame when they've played a lot of good battles and they can only play a lot good battles when there are simulators and they can only have simulators when they know everyhting about the game and we're far from that atm.

So long story short, no one knows what will turn out good for Greninja. Probably minus some def plus speed...

Over all, in terms of usefulness, based off of what I've seen so far, I'd say greninja is the best overall. Not being a Froakie fag or anything, but his speed, move pool, and new ability, hes gonna be wrecking shit

It's weird defensively.

Fire and Ice are its most notable weaknesses, but both of those only really show up as coverage moves.

In exchange, it resists Ground AND water. Which are pretty goddamn amazing resists to have. Resisting Electric is also more noteworthy than being weak to bug or poison.

The problem with the grass type isn't its resists, or even its offense. The problem is that Grass types always have a movepool that is 'grass moves, return, hidden power.'

Greninja is the only one that will be used in the metagame. Rapid spin + faster than Gengar + Dark typing will make it the premier rapid spinner. Water typing will let it work on most teams. Starmie better watch out.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to decide. And you don't want to go neutral because then you just miss out on 10% boost.

I'll probably say fuck it and completely ignore natures for now. And play through with whatever. I can always breed better shit later on. None of my friends are super into competitive Pokemon so natures shouldn't even matter

It has >100 speed, good SpAtk, and a decent dual-stab movepool (remember, psychic STAB is actually good with all the fighting around).

If it actually does get aura sphere Specsphox is going to be a staple.

I dont see how, Its outclassed by Genger and Alakazam. Delphox may be decent in UU, but even there...Its not strong enough to really do anything...

With its low defense, it needs to either hit hard with Special Attack, or tank Specials...and it cannot do either. Speed is nice, but its going to waste on a Pokemon that cannot do 1 thing well enough to matter.

110-115 Sp. ATK is very mediocre on a Pokemon with Fire AND Psychic...two types known for high Sp. ATK

It is better than Alakazam against Steels (lol focus blast) and better than Gengar against steels and at hitting fighters. Fire is actually an extremely good attacking STAB, since most things tend to only worry about fire attacks that are there as coverage. And 115 SpAtk + STAB means it's going to hit things with fire attacks a lot stronger than most people are used to.

105 speed is also nice and trolly, sneaking past the base 100 line and making specs incredibly appealing.

Delphox's biggest problem is that It will forever be compared to Gardevoir because of the similarities in moveset and stats...the problem is both suck and will never see competitive play above NU.....Mega Gardevoir is a different story.

The speed and special attack estimations that the Smogoners do keep being too high, because they're basing them off of some very used pokemon, one of which had a mild or timid nature which wasn't taken into account.

Stat wise I put Modest Greninja with Choice Specs

Adamant Chestnaught

252 SDEF (Assuming Guarding is real you can put in 4 DEF it should be okay)
With STAB Drain Punch as an option and Greninja's shitty defense it would probably be dead/
