What did /vp/ think about Conquest?

I loved it. I just wish they had made the main story longer instead of doing a long break in the middle for sidequests.

Baby's first game of the genre. I'd rather play the games of the actual series than the spinoff honestly, but it was fun.

I guess that's a good point- I definitely prefer Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, but I really enjoyed Conquest.

Even though I hate some stages, I love that game.

Yeah, I'm definitely with you. I think that introducing Mega-Evolutions to it could really shake up the gameplay, too.

It was much, much too simple. All the battles eventually became a total slog fest.

Music was good though.

... really it wasn't as good as I was hoping though. I was expecting Nobunaga's Ambition style conquest in which like, there's over 60 provinces to conquer and more customize-able building setups. But the battles were handled reasonably well. The fact they used Samurai Warriors characterizations and models tickled my fancy as well- I LOVE Ranmaru~.

Needed to be faster, needed to be more in-depth, needed to trust you not to shit yourself if it threw too many things at you at once, needed to have even a remote possibility of failure, needed more aggressive AI, needed to incorporate the CLUSTERFUCK of a postgame into the main game so you didn't have to play the EXACT SAME 4 OR 5 SCENARIOS 3 TO 5 TIMES FROM DIFFERENT STARTING LOCATIONS...

But it's a REALLY fun game 9/10 would gladly welcome a sequel.
