Too bad he already gets Froakie from what we've seen so it won't be a main Pokemon

Seeing as how it's gonna be his only starter this time around, he'll either evolve it or go through the entirety of Kalos without an evolved starter.

He'll probably evolve it.

The producers are notorious for not using evolutions that they think are too ugly to be appealing to the kids (Which is the primary reason why Dawn's Piplup never evolved), but Greninja shouldn't have that problem.
