I wonder if it is even worth it, though, considering I usually stop playing Pokemon after the Champion and never do post-game. Probably not worth the $200.00.

Yeah.

Aside from X and Y, I've been playing Rune Factory 4, Etrian Odyssey 4 (haven't played the newest one yet), FE:A, SMT 4, and Dual Destinies is coming out for the 3DS too. (too bad it's fucking digital distribution only)

The DS was only good in terms of games because it had an entire life time to get those games.

You can't expect the 3DS to have just as much as it after only 2 years. That first year was also barren as fuck too, it only started getting games this year.

I hear you, OP (I was actually thinking of making a similar thread). Car repairs and student loans have left me financially drained this year, so I've had to jealously watch people enjoy 3DS games from the sidelines.

Well, there's always Smash 4, Fire Emblem Awakening, Ocarina of Time 3D, and plenty more from 3DS's library that I can't remember right now.
3DS is the most popular current gen console because its library is excellent.
