>>14514170You are a fucking retard if you believe that having to IV breed is in ANY way good for the state of Pokemon. IV breeding by its very NATURE goes against the code of pokemon. Pokemon was supposed to be about love and heart and connection with your own, not genetically breeding and killing off the duds until you get the exact number you need.
Also, when you involve randomized IV stats (which are VERY important, by the way. A single speed IV can often mean the difference between a win and a loss), you are devaluing skill and replacing it with luck and mindless grinding. That's literally like taking out earthquake/flamethrower ETC implementing moves that get more powerful only when you run around in circles on your game for hundreds of hours a month.
The only people who think IV training need to exists are the narcissistic breeders who think they are better than others because they cannot afford an AR or because they have the time to sit for the VAST amounts of time HOPING to get lucky as get the IV values you want. You know the chance of getting perfect IVs? Less than one in a BILLION.
In DPP, i spent THOUSANDS of hours breeding, even with the help of an ar to speed it up, and my results were shit in comparison. I got a few perfect Ivs, but even with all my time spent I did not end up getting exactly what I wanted, so all of my strategies were gimped because depsite all the time I invested I couldn't get exactly what I wanted.
Don't even mention legendaries.
So , no, you are wrong. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but facts are facts. There is by far enough work that would have to go into battling competitively, even without IVS. IVS go against the very nature of Pokemon and true competitive play. they are a hindrance and attempting to breed round them is beyond retarded. If we are stuck with IVs and no way to get them boosted, we better get a way to clone. At least then smogon is a possibility to trade, still a HUGE waste of time.
