>>14508858Nigger the first game on a new console is always like this. Especially when its a new generation. Pokemon R/S was criticized when it was released for having less shit than Gen II, it wasn't until FR/LG and Emerald was released when Gen III redeemed itself. Same thing happened with D/P with how slow it was compared to past generations. At least Gen IV had backward compatibility with Gen III so it wasnt as jarring as Gen III, then Pt and HG/SS got released and made Gen IV great. Gen V, like Gen II used an already established engine and gave it a revamp. So Gen V already had the chance to create a new experience without needing to rebuild the entire game from scratch. It also helped that B/W was smart with letting the player only use new pokemon on the main game and only on the post game let us play with the older pokemon. While the Postgame in B/W wasn't as big as in HG/SS by letting the player play with all the older pokemon it was like opening the flodgates.
Gen VI pretty much had to recreate pokemon for the 3DS before GF could even think of adding any extras. So while Im not justifying the barren postgame of X/Y, its understandable. I would suggest to wait for Pokemon Z or Pokemon Rumbling Ruby & Deep Sapphire.
