It looks like the unloaded texture glitch. And I thought the 3D graphics team has fixed this issue. We are working on it and will bring an update for the download version soon, which also fixes some freezes and memory leaks in the download version of both versions.

No wonder there's no 3D in the overworld, and the fps drops when you turn it on in battles.

Don't even need to turn 3d on for this. When the camera splits to show both mons at the same time, you can get a noticeable fps drop.
