Okay /vp/, answer me this. I've been out of pokemon for a while and have been recently browsing this board because X and Y look pretty interesting. Most of the changes I welcome a lot since Pokemons been kind of stale since 3rd gen, but then I saw someone eluding to the fact they can censor your pokemons nicknames.

Like, what the fuck is this? You mean I can no longer childlishly call my pokemon DICK and have it use harden? or naming a pokemon thorny will be censored because it has horny in it? What is this shit? Why is it acceptable? Can't they have the name filter purely exist in the trading section of the game?

Why does this filter exist?
