You know. I just realized why that stupid thing is in the game. There's no Audino so without that stupid thing it's hard to grind then before. You don't fight nearly as many trainers as you did in previous games and most of the pokemon in the grass don't give out that much xp. It's kind of dumb.

OP here: I'm going back to older zones. I boxed my 40 and some other lvls and im gonna go catch a clauncher or binacle and a pancham and mareep if i can. Add those guys to my team. Turn off xp thing if it becomes an issue.

Also is clauncher superior to binacle? I assume so, but I just want a clarification.

it makes sense. You defeated the poke. it's actually harder to capture than knoking them out. So your poke learned and gained experience. It was bullshit to NOT get xp.
