jsut make sure you're holding the 3ds upside-down all the way, eg it's wide open and the top half is pointing at the ground
>play normally at level 29, kill a wild pokemon to reach 30 (coincidentally quilladin levels up as well)>flip 3ds upside-down on the window showing that stats inkay gained>wiggle it around a little bit to make sure it registered>while 3ds is upside-down go through quilladin trying to learn a new move>keep 3ds held upside-down until inkay evolution starts>obtain malimar
