Yes, your pokemon can't get any more EV. You might as well restart but seeing it's a Doublade you might want to start from a little Honedge again and focusing on the stats the green portion inside the yellow zone is pointing at.

Even if you fucked up EV training on your Doublade, you can reset the EVs with the reset bag. and all stat's evs cap out at 252. You'll get a notification that you've maxxed out a stat when it happens

What would people suggest I do with regards to Venusaur and Aurorus? Both have good enough potential as all out special attacker, at least for ingame purposes, or should I try and utilize their respectable bulk? I've already got two special sweepers in my team so some hit takers would be nice, but generally in game I find sweepers are more useful than tanks 90% of the time.

I'd argue that HP EVs are more important than defense on Aegislash considering it's base defense is high enough as it is in defense form, but it's HP is a bit lacking.

They're random drops from either hitting the basic punching or rewards after completing training levels. They're the white bags, and yes; they reset EVERY EV. Not just ones gained through super training

No, Swords Dance is the one you want. It's because of Aegislash's ability which switches it's stats around. Inflicted stat changes by moves such as Swords Dance and Iron Defense aren't affected by this.

Normal shots on the white targets and charged shots on the red. After loosing a charged shot. Start rapidly tapping your shots to give your meter room to recharge.

Completely depends on the Pokemon and their strategy. Sometimes you NEED to go first or last, it all depends on how you're playing it.
For example, Aegislash needs to keep it's low Speed so that it turns into its blade form AFTER it takes a hit in it's defensive shield form, otherwise it'd be a sitting duck with no defense if it attacked first.

Yeah it does, it distributes very little EV's but it does give them out. I had Torchic with me for a long while but he never participated in the fight, just got xp from the share and when I checked him out he had like good third of his EV's distributed.

I'm making a Venusaur + Snorlax tank combo.
Leftovers for Snorlax, leech seed + black sludge for venusaur. Won't spoil the rest, but it's kinda easy to figure out some decent skills for those. Not sure what to train for venusaur yet, but snorlax I def/s.def trained.

if it's primarily defensive, try to max its HP before anything else, then you can max its primary defense or spread the rest out among its other stats.
If it's an attacker, max its primary offense. If its moderately fast, max its speed. If not, dump the rest into HP.

Say your training your fenekin, someday it'll be a fast but frail sweeper with a crazy special attack of 120, so train it in speed and spe. atk

You wouldn't expect it to take tons of hits, so put it in safe situations where it can use it's crazy special attack.

There's really no point in ev training if you're not going to use these pokemon competitively. You can beat the game with whatever with mediocre stats. You don't have to put all that work in.

Yeah, if you plan on not using the mega.
If you want to use its mega, I'd suggest building it more bulky (ie max HP) to match its better defensive base stats and nature.

That's what I went for, mwith the last 4 going in Def. You'll actually want to be going last most of the time to take advantage of your bulk before you launch an attack.

Honestly there are no bad options.
Honedge is a pretty versatile poke. if you want you can go tank with HP/Atk, wall with HP/Def/SDef, hell it can even do mixed attacker. Just say no to speed.

Get a strong pokemon to farm you some +12 bags, give to the pokemon you want to train, then gradually ascend the training levels. I usually wait until i can complete a training in less than 15s before i move on to the higher levels.

If you complete Lv3 training and get a large bag, 24 IVs in 30s is pretty good. Some lv3 trainings are harder than others though.

The Aegislash Secret Training mission, keep retying it; you either get it from beating a fast enough time or it just drops by luck, I'm not sure which.
You can also get one without Super Training, but not until after the 7th Gym I think.

Mostly considering the likes of HP/Defence/SpeDef, it makes some sense to balance them out. Was googling about earlier and there used to be a calculator that output a Pokemon's ideal ratios for those 3, but it was hosted on geocities.

Something I just realized that may or may not already be known.

Once you hit 252 EVs in a stat, it won't let you super-train more.

Ergo, you don't need to keep a close track, just train until it says "no more are needed"

You need Super Secret Training.
You gain access to it after you have completed everything and have an Max EV'd Poke.

Alright, I've got me a Honedge with maxed attack and halfway maxed defense
Should I finish maxing defense to make use of it's high inital value, or put points into SpDef instead to even it out?
Also been dumping points into Speed and SpDef on a Furfrou because it seems like it'd be a good tank with its ability
Should I try to even out Def and SpDef a bit, or would I have been better dumping points into HP, or what?
Also, thinking about going for HP+Attack for Tyrunt, does his strong jaw ability only affect biting attacks or all physical attacks?

I honestly don't know what I'm doing

I did max attack and defense for honedge.

You may not notice it at first but he'll start fucking shit up once he reaches level 30.

Makes the fighting type gym the easiest gym in the game.

I didn't lose a single point of health.

Yeah not really. Once you start getting to whatever they call battle tower in this one, and you paying attention to nature, then you'll want it. This just helps for things like maxing out the attack stat before letting the random EVs take over.
