X & Y: The likelihood of running into a shiny in X & Y is significantly higher than before, and while this would give us the impression that 'trade value' for them has decreased, I think you'll find it's quite the opposite. With a larger variety of shinies, trading them may not seem as taboo, as trading away your shinies was in previous gens. This will also encourage hunting for your favorites, or shinies with good Natures, and such, as opposed to just getting lucky. So if you are lucky enough to have found a shiny in X/Y that you don't particularly want, ask around in this thread, and see if a trade can be met!
