He may be in the game, but he won't be revealed this early. Sakurai was only considering adding him back at E3 and even if he is to be included, he certainly won't be presentable at this point.

"Considering" could just mean "he's in but we don't want to reveal him yet", or it could mean "he's not going to be in, but we don't want to say that". There's really no evidence one way or the other.

There's still quite a few people hoping that Mewtwo getting a Mega means he's coming back. Despite Lucario also getting one and being shoved in your face throughout the game.

How often does the Smash site update with a new character? I miss Japan Time, but if the site has a set schedule for new characters, it gives me something to get hyped about.

It's been about once a month.

But then Peach, Toon Link and Sonic where announced fairly close together.

So it's become a bit more apparent, Peach not withstanding, reveals are timed to coincide with game launches or to hype up ones happening soon. Which is why people think a Pokemon rep will be announced tomorrow.

I wouldn't mind if Mewtwo comes back as a replacement for Trainer. The idea of PT was cool but I didn't end up using him too much.
I really don't want to lose Lucario though. He's fun.
