For the last time, the shiny odds haven't improved. Do you know how many people are playing right now? A lot. Whenever someone finds a new shiny, they report on it. In fact, I'm surprised we don't know the shiny of every grass pokemon by now: there is probably much more than 8192 wild encounters happening worldwide every second: odds are good somebody is finding a shiny every second.
