3DS XL for biggest screens, longest battery life, Pokemon's audio quality is fine but iffy on some games, better Start/Home/Select, most expensive

3DS OG for middle ground, shortest battery life, smaller screens, better audio quality, worst Start/Home/Select

2DS for cheapest, worst sound, best shoulder buttons, least portable, no 3D, OG-size screens

I went with the XL, no regrets.

OG is mostly better and sounds fine, XL has some games that sound fine, usually ones with great audio quality like X/Y and New Leaf, but some games like SMT IV sound much better with headphones or ear buds

Doesn't matter. DW abilities don't carry over with Ditto breeding. This is why event pokemon are pointless.
