theres this guy (among several other trainer hints)

theres the unused train station in couriway

the couriway train description that mentions the railway bringing people from great distances to see the falls

and theres the professor evaluating your national dex saying "you caught all ___ of these pokemon IN THE KALOS REGION" like why would he specify the kalos region if we couldnt visit another

theres no way we cant visit another region eventually

pair that with the fact that with the pacing for their remakes it's just about time for either a RSE remake or a DLC of some kind

there's just a platform without a train

and the town description that says "the railway brings people from great distances" or whatever

there have been cosmetic features in the games in the past but they've never done anything like this before except in gold/silver (in which you actually get to use the train) which makes me think there's got to be more to it

Imagine it now, Dewford Town completely washed away with GameFreak using it as a statement on tsunami effects.

Slateport is now like a contemporary shipping town, with all the downsides, especially with large foreign cargo ships coming in.

Fallarbor Town fucking GONE because of volcanic activity. As well as the hot springs gone dry in Lavaridge.

Fortree clear cut as a statement on the effects of the rain forest being cut down, and replaced with contemporary skyscrappers; after developers from Unova moved in.

All the islands being completely changed due to Tsunami activity. Oil refinery platforms out off the coast as well. Bridges, and highways now connect all the islands so you don't have to fucking surf everywhere.

Desert is now walled in as an effort to combat the sandstorms, and in the middle of it is a giant oil refinery!

Yes. Please GameFreak, make these changes happen!

Also related is Lunatone's (maybe Solrock's as well, haven't checked) Pokedex entry that says something along the lines of; "this Pokemon was discovered in a meteorite that crashed 40 years ago"...well, in Ruby/Sapphire the only place you could catch them was where the meteorite landed in that cave, so Ruby/Sapphire took place about 40 years ago judging from that.

The reason Gen 5 was so short was because the 3DS was out and they needed to get their title for it out.

Since there was no time for a full 5+ year gen with remakes and a third version like Gen 3 and 4, they just made sequels (BW2) to make up more revenue.

Now that GF is on current hardware, we are getting remakes and Z. Just like gens 3 and 4.

Because in water routes all you have to deal with is the tentacools and wingulls. In fucking Mt.Coronet, you have the same annoying pokemon issue with Zubats and Geodudes and you have to take an HM slave with you since you're going to need like 5 or 6 different types of obstacles you'll need to clear through. Last but not least, the fucking snow pits there to slow you to a crawl and make you more miserable. Mt.Coronet is shit.

The vast majority of people that want this are kids who were too young to have played RBY and GSC, so nostalgia over what is commonly considered the lowest point in the series.
