Okay, so I'm looking through all of your guys' teams, right, and you know what I don't see a lot of? Vivillon. Let me fucking explain some shit that will help you learn why Vivillon is the shit. First of all, it has Base 100 speed and Base 100 special attack. Not bad, but not great. It learns Quiver Dance. Everyone saw this coming. It learns sleep powder. Yeah, okay, pretty cool. It learns Hurricane. Well, guess I'll stick it on a rain team. Oh, but wait, it's ability? Compoundeyes. It's a fucking QUIVER DANCER WITH SPORE AND A 90+% ACCURATE STAB HURRICANE. AND IT'S FUCKING ADORABLE. BASED BUG.

Amazing in-game, but 100/100 are weak as fuck offensive stats for competitive even with Quiver Dance. Combined with awful typing (4x weak to Rawks) it won't see any OU and probably barely any UU if it's not knocked down to below that.

Yeah, people aren't using it because they're expecting another shitty early bug. But my Vivillon absolutely wrecks shit.

>>14575114 >put enemy to sleep with pseudo-spore >Quiver dance +1 life orb STAB Hurricane isn't gonna hurt anything coming off of base 100?
Really?
I can see it competing with Volcarona due to reliable sleep.

That's pretty OU right there.

Would it be worth it to go back and get one? I just beat the 4th gym and am having trouble rounding out my team. So far I've got Delphox, Honedge, Sylveon, Tyrunt and Skrelp.

also grass types are immune to sleep powder now, right?

I proudly use one in my team. As a matter of fact, it is my best Pokémon. I fucking love the shit out of it.

I guess Ferrothorn, but it's a physical wall, not a special one.

I used one for awhile, but its moves kind of fell behind and it didn't cover anything that my other team members didn't, especially with no flying moves. No HM2 compatibility sealed its demise.

Everyone says it's shit, but I agree that something with decent speed and a very accurate sleep move can't be truly bad. Who knows what tier it will end up. The metagame is non-existent at this point.

I got mine early on and it has not yet outlived it's usefulness. I keep expecting to dump it for a better pokemon but geez the thing can carry it's own weight very well.
