Am I the only one who hasn't beaten the second gym leader because I am too absorbed in Pokemon-amie and super training?
I just EV maxed out my modest Braixen on SP-ATK and SPD and I don't want to move forward until I catch a decent natured Lucario. I don't know if it's worth moving on.

Once you maxed out a pokemon in EVS you get "hidden training" It gives you evo stones, soda pop, hard stone, etc. But for ev training, 3 is max.

Just finished the 2nd gym. My Kirlia evolved into Gardevoir after it too. Damn, she's way more "majestic" looking in action rather than just as a sprite.

Also my fucking Combusken is levelling up WAY too fast. The rest of the party is having trouble keeping up. He's almost a Blaziken already.

Eh I've just been catching everything so far and evolving the lower tier pokes like sentret etc. Vivillion's also fully ev trained in spatk/speed at this point too.

Yeah my Combusken was level 32 after the first gym and wouldn't take orders from me.

First time that's ever happened, it was pretty neat.

I haven't gotten a Kirlia yet cause I haven't hatched an egg yet with a good nature for SPK attack.

Until it is maxed out, and if you max it, you unlock bonus rounds where you can get items if you do well enough. I did that to get my dusk stone for Aegislash.

All I can say is that the first Ralts I saw and caught was Modest so I shit my pants and maxed her out. Also, I didn't save before getting the Kanto starters which meant that I couldn't reset for the Nature that I wanted. Luckily, the Squirtle I chose was Modest.

Luck is on my side this generation.
I'm not even using Squirtle.

I was 25 hours in before I beat the second gym because I was so distracted with everything. I'm not even EV training because I need it at this point, I'm doing it because it's fucking fun and feels so rewarding, seriously it almost feels wrong for EV training to be this enjoyable.

And pokemon amie is giving me actual feels. Like I keep telling myself it's just pixels and noises but my poor little heart can't take this level of kawaii.

I want to know this also.
I've noticed it's there when the camera recognizes your face.
Pull 3ds closer and farther and it pops up and goes away.
Clicking it hasn't done anything for me yet.

It means that it recognizes a face.
If you keep it like that without doing anything for a few moments, your pokemon will start requesting faces.
Also, if you tilt your head when it's like that, your pokemon will tilt its head too.

If that icon is on screen and you tilt your head from side to side, the Pokemon will mimic you and after a few moments will play a mini game with you where you have to do the expressions it asks.

Some of them are a bitch to do, Wide Eyes never seems to work for me, nor does Medium Smile.
