Not really confirmation of anything shipping-wise, but it's still strange and stupid to go somewhat against what was significantly hinted at during some points in the Original Series and the entire second movie's subplot, but this anime has always been strange and stupid anyways. May and Drew had finite time in the series, and they didn't even get them together as they were clearly alluding to during AG.
