Catching Zygarde, the roaming Legendary bird, Mewtwo, finding all the hidden mega stones after the upgrade, rematch against serena, the battle maison, the other battle thingy where you can also rematch the gym leaders, the looker quests, not to mention the main game is already filled of content.
This is still more than what the precedent first version offered (except gold/silver).
Red/Blue: Mewtwo.
Ruby/Sapphire: Battle Tower (which was pretty MEH)
Diamond/Pearl: Battle Tower, Heatran, Cresselia, Giratina and extra "cities" and routes.
Black and White were pretty good, but still, the post game is inferior to what Black and White offered
