Doubtful, but there's quite a lot.

The friend has a type/3 catch-able pokemon.
It seems the third one is only available if they are online.
They can only have hidden abilities but someone said that those are only available if they are online as well.

I dont think so.
You can see which pokemon they have before you walk into the safari if you've been in that friends safari before and encountered them.
