How do I make money outside of battling trainers?

I'm trying to go back (don't have fly yet) and catch a ton of pokemon that aren't shit for some good Wonder Trades, specifically "X" specific ones.

Fish with the old rod, at least the waters around second gym town work, you'll find Luvdiscs that hold Heart Scales. either capture them (false swipe with any half decent physical attacker works) or use thief to grab the item and then run.

I'm gender farming Bulbasaur at the moment. My question is, does the Bulba you fight when battling Prof. Sycamore always have the same gender as the one you pick? The reason I ask is that its a pain in the ass to fight all three pokes and THEN pick a poke in hope of getting a female.

Actually getting more pokeballs (and its variants) just didn't become a problem now because I have nearly 3K Poke Miles and they are dirt cheap in exchange for items.

I didn't bother soft resetting for my starter's nature and got a Froakie with a lonely nature. Is this set good for him considering his nature: 252Atk, 252 Spd, 4HP with Power-Up Punch, Water Shuriken, Waterfall, and Night Slash.

You can get heart scales from Luvdisc, fish them up with the old rod on the beach route by the fossil city.

Froakie has a higher base Sp Atk than Ph Atk but IIRC it's 90 Ph.A vs 100 Sp.A. so you're probably fine with that.

For Blaziken, his old BW Uber set is amazing:

Well, Blaziken was banned to Ubers last gen because of speed boost, so unless you wanna breed yourself one with Blaze and lose the Blazikenite, then you're gonna have to build a competitive Ubers team.

Decent [0-90]
Above average [91-120]
Relatively superior [121-150]
Outstanding [150-186]

So yes, relatively superior is better than above average

I've been running a female Meowstic since I nabbed an Espurr early. It's pretty damn powerful early on, but it seems as it gets into late game its power begins to wane.
Still a worthwhile pokemon,

I've been running in circles around a rock in the Frost Caverns for about 5 hours trying to find a shiny.

It feels like I'm overleveled in some areas, then everything suddenly has like +3 levels and I have no type coverage. What gives?

I swear my machop wasn't super effective on the second gym, and my chespin is like 10 levels ahead of everything, otherwise my pokemon are at par for level (and do no damage and die in 2-3 hits, even when I use SE moves). It's very frustrating.

It takes quite a few tries, but when you go through the Winding Woods, you should end up at a spot with a staircase going upwards.

Beside the staircase is a tree that you'll need to use cut on, and that path leads to the room with the TM, the TM is Energy Ball.

it has nothing to do with spoiled kids, it has do with gaming being mainstream. gaming used to be reserved for people who actually had the patience to sit in front of it for a few hours on the same level memorizing every detail and developing an insane amount of skill to get by. if megaman 3 were released today, it'd get shit on for being too hard. there are far more lazy useless assholes in the world who want everything handed to them and don't want to actually work for the reward of beating the game. but the kids are pretty much the same. give a kid who hasn't played a lot of games megaman 3, and he'll sit there for days trying to memorize how to get through every level. unless they're spoiled on modern games already, in which case it's too late for them, and you should probably kill them.

People say catching Luvdisc is a good way to do it, which all you need is an Old Rod. Should be on Route 8 or around Ambrette Town, if my friend isn't full of shit.
