Just evolved into my Goodra today. Was pretty annoyed finding out you cant set up rain dance to evolve but luckly route 19 finally started raining. So nice to see her finally able to do some major damage and soak up special attacks.

Depends on what you want your Goodra to accomplish.
If you max Sp.Def but not HP you aren't being efficent at all.

Either 252 HP 252 Sp.Def 4 Def
Or 252/4/252
Or 252 HP 252 Sp.Atk 4 Def
Or even 252 Sp.Atk 252 Speed [it has a workable base 90]

If I wanted to go with a Sp Def wall, do you think a Sassy nature would be fine? I don't feel the need for Speed being high in that regard, but everyone points out Goodra's Speed stat so I feel like I may be nerfing mine too much by going with that nature.

I don't think it's that big of a deal if you aren't investing in it anyway.
It's a minor thing.

The major problem with all of us Goodra lords is that we need her hidden ability, so if you want to hardcore competitive her you can consider all non-safari'd Goodras to be useless in that regard.

But otherwise it's cool.

Weather caused by abilities still last 10 turns with the appropriate rock held. That's still enough time to get shit done.

Just evolved mine. Found out it had to be on the rain route at level 68.. Still, major upgrade in attack and sp. attack. Check the move relearner, it can have Power Whip for some extra coverage.

weather will still be used, but yeah, less, especially since hydration is for a stally style, and you only get 5-10 turns
I'm using rain dance in game and its pretty sweet, and the only guys benefitting from it are my thunder/surf dry skin heliolisk and my rest hydration goodra
