No, he's amazing. You may have a bad nature or iv one. Make sure to keep sword dance and shadow tag for the finishing moves. He's a psuedo tank who wrecks all.

Man, My doublade is awesome. I EV trained his Defense and Attack, the last 4 going into HP.
Switch in on physical attacks and then finish up with Shadow Claw and Iron Head. Swords Dance and False Swipe are for Gym battles and wild niggers.

My Eviolite Doublade has walled fucking everything the game tried to throw at it. I had to get used to being much more careful with my Aegislash, since it dies really easily now if it doens't OHKO...

I don't know about Honedge, but Aegislash has to be the most broken Pokemon ever introduced. I can't imagine him not being banned once the X/Y metagame starts.

That's true for his blade form, but not his shield form. If you teach him king's guard or protect and he's sufficiently slow, you can protect after every attacking turn so you ensure he never gets struck with an attack while not in shield form.

He still has the moveset I caught him with except tackle, which I replaced with cut because I didn't have an HM mule on hand and I thought it was fitting anyway. The other three are Fury Cutter, Metal Sound, and Sword Dance.

I'd go max HP and ATK if you plan on Aegislash. Maximises his bulk in Shield form, maximizes his stronk in Sword form.
