Game Freak, why do you put so much effort into redoing what was already pretty well streamlined by now but then refuse to lift a finger to address what's really broken?

Males can now pass down Abilities. Females can now pass down Egg Moves. Friend Safari Pokemon have two guaranteed 31 IVs.

Breeding for IVs is easier now than it has ever been.

B-BUT MUH PERFECTION

You inherit 3 IVs. That's more than enough for a pokemon, especially when the other 3 aren't just going to be 0.

There isn't a pokemon in the game who gives a fuck about having all of the IVs maxed. Normally it's just the two for sweepers and maybe up to 3 for walls.

Can't wait for December. Really though, if the rumor about online setting IVs to 31 for the duration of battle, there's no issue.

Anything short of 5 (skipping only your non-attacking stat) is suboptimal. It may not make all that huge of a difference, but it is nonzero. And that's to say nothing of when you want to get a specific Hidden Power in addition to the other 5 stats.

Seriously, it's just rather silly that they refuse to budge on this while bending over backwards for everything else. All they're doing is screwing over legit players against everyone else who just hacks in perfection. This is bad game design, plain and simple.
