Its highest base stats are 95 (HP), 110 (Special Attack) and 130 (Special Defense). Invest in those.

I have a sassy one. Will that give it decent stats? I was hoping to boost my special attack, but I could have had worse.

Just make sure you get all that amie affection sorted out before eevee hits lv 20. Sylveon learns draining kiss at that level, which will be good to have until it gets moonblast.

just level it up while it knows a fairy type move (baby doll eyes). catch a lv19 eevee on route 10

I can't help you OP since I'm playing super slow (taking my time) but I also have a question. I've reset my Braixen's EVs twice now... I'm not quite sure what Braixen is truly best at. I figured a Special Sweeper with that high Special Attack but her speed leaves a lot to be desired... Having EV training available so early has been making EV train from the start, which I never do (I save competitive teams and EV focusing for after the main game every other gen) and I'm a bit lost.

Select your Pokemon on Poke-Amie and hit switch, you can see all your Pokes' Affection, Fullness, Slams, and Enjoyment.

If you are going for max don't be fooled. It'll do a dual heart dance when its affection raises a heart, but to max it out wait for TWO different dances.

you definitely do need amie, I just levelled my 19 eevee with only one amie heart and it didn't evolve, it had a fairy move too
