So I just got my first shiny in a decade

Given the number showing up on /vp/ I'm convinced that the rate has been increased for Gen 6

Yeah, seems like a lot of people are getting lucky in Horde battles. Did you manage to just stumble across a lonely 'mon that was tattered and scorn, looking for someone to hold it tight and tell it that it's not a freak for being different?

It was a Driflloon. I've never been too attached to shinies, usually preferring their original colors, so I'll probably use it as trade bait

Okay, I've never really made an effort to go for shinies, nor have I paid attention to the lingo for getting them.

From what I've gathered, Masuda Method is just using a foreign pokemon(in my case, a JP Druddigon I got via GTS) and a pokemon from my country(an English Nidorino in this case). Am I doing this right? After a day of hatching eggs, it doesn't feel like it's helping my odds much, but maybe I'm just not being patient enough
