Yveltal has a very high catch rate because you have no other option, if you kill it the battle just starts over.

Unless you have some ridiculously bad luck, it won't ever happen. Hell, it may even have a 100% catch rate. I caught mine first try too, though it was with a Dusk Ball.

yes, most pokemon games in the future will probably have the story-based legendary be a 100% catch rate because it was too hard for kids, but everyone thinks it's an accomplishment to catch them still, even though it CANT fail

This guy seemed easy to catch.
I caught him at half HP while asleep with my first ultra ball.
Had capture power level 2 on (could have use level 3 too)

I killed Xerneas because too much strenght, was going to reset.. "Xerneas wants to help you !" and battle starts again. Without even resetting.

It's not the hard legendary to catch though.
There's the legendary birds, Zygarde and Mewtwo that are the challenging catches.

What OP didn't tell you is that the secret to catching any pokemon with 100% chance is to alternately mash A and B really fast when the ball is rolling around.

If it doesn't catch you didn't didn't do it fast enough, or pressed a wrong button
