Only if it has the movepool to pull of a pure support set or a bulky sweeper set. I could envision it stacking up on it's offensive stats with a boosting nature, and then using it's ability to give itself some bulky while it sets up a sweep, but this depends entirely on what it's actual base stats look like, and most importantly it's movepool. If it wants to be a wall or something bulky like that then it can't afford to let down it's guard, so to say, with any attacking move. Whereas Skarmory or Ferrothorn or Blissey can have at least some means of offense, Aegis would be forced to avoid that lest it swap it's high defenses with it's undeveloped offenses and open itself up to major damage. I don't know jack shit about it, it's stats, or it's movepool though so this is all speculation.

In shield forme, Aegislash has a base stat distribution of 60/60/150/60/150/60, and in blade forme, it's 60/150/60/150/60/60. This is the ONLY change, your EV stats and your nature stats don't get flipped by the stance change.

Talonflame won't make it to OU thanks to sneaky pebbles but it's going to devastate UU, pebbles are less prevalent there. Spikes are generally the name of the game and he's immune to them, plus the tier is full of fighting types, most of which he outspeeds. Hopefully he'll put an end to the Heracross monopoly because when this nigga comes up Heracross is dead.

Aegislash learns King's Shield, not sure at what level, but you can always use the move relearner. Doublade learns Sacred Sword at 51 I believe. I think Aegislash also learns it but I'm not 100% sure.

Speaking of Garchomp, anyone know anything about the Mega BST? I have a SD set in game now and it looks like reduced speed and buffed attack, which is stupid. But Sand Force. SAND FORCE. ON A GARCHOMP. If the speed wasn't neutered by the damn mega form it would be so delicious.

I think you need to stop seeing Mega Garchomp as playing the same way as standard Garchomp. He's meant to be a mixed tank, not a fast sweeper.

Hi. I play MTG on a semi-competitive level. Just here to say that trying to be competitive in fucking pokemon signs you off as an autistic fuck.

It's the most shallow shit ever on a competitive edge, it's metagame shallow and Smogon's Metagame ten times more shallow.

It's like LoL, only easier.

I call Smogon people autistic, because they are. They are trying to make a game where chance is a huge order of the day, into a hyper competitive area.

Look where it got them. The game is Hyper aggresive, with no actual defensive play. Sure some of that is Game freak's fault in making super strong pokemon. Most of it is Smogon's retarded ass way of tiering pokemon.

I won a few local tournaments and the playstyle is varied enough that I don't usually run into a deck thats constantly the same.

It's nature by design is competitve or casual depending on the format. And it's ruling body are not a load of spergs who favor a type of running.

Gen 5's Metagame was shallow as fuck. It literally had a pool of 30 pokemon used well enough.

They should look at the mechanics and pokemon that are centralising the Metagame, and remove them.

I mean hell, why did they do it for Speed Boost Blaziken, but Scizor, a pokemon literally used 70% of the time. is Still there?

Gen 6 might change the total weather and stealth rock dominance in support moves, but if it doesn't. Throw them out of the "main" bracket too.

Has the OU bracket opened up? If so, remove SR.

Has it made the bracket more narrow? Keep it.

Do this for every single aspect of the OU meta.

Now you have a well balanced competitive Metagame.

It's hard looking around for shit because it's a new game but based on his stats, I might be able to use him sort of like Machamp. The only sucky looking thing so far is a lack of coverage moves. Hopefully we'll get a move tutor in the next game and he can learn the elemental punches at least.

I know 75 BP moves off of a 130 attack stat has to leave a dent in a lot of things.

Thats not the idea. Any weather at all forces the opponent to require a counter. The fact they play different is irrelevant since they all punish your opponents for not using weather. You have to play weather to deal with it.

You cannot just simply build a team as you would gen 3 or gen 4. You have to have mons that can abuse weather.

Statistics wise these are big things. especially considering that Scizors teammate statistics put it at having TTar and salamence teammates 22% of the time.

So if we outline the problems some "Karenfags" have with the Meta ( Scizor, draguns and weather ) 60% of the team is composed of JUST ONE mon that is an example of these problems.

Sylveon might have a chance since it has almost perfect coverage with just stab and shadow ball and its stats are very similar to vaporeons, but vaporeon is already have some trouble staying in OU. Sylveon will also have to compete with togekiss as the main bulky fair in OU, who now counters any garchomp that doesn't run stone edge.
Also garchomp will probably be unbanned.

I don't know how the tier thing works, I'm just assuming my team gets kicked up to OU for having an OU pokemon or 2. Thank you for the suggestions, I don't know what all he can learn yet. Boosted Drain Punches sound like they can really help his survivability.
