I haven't gotten X/Y yet ;____; and I'm deciding on which Kanto starter to use. I'm dead set on picking Froakie so Blastoise is out. Which one should I pick /vp/? Bulbasaur or Charmander?

I've seen alot of Froakie + Bulbasaur + Torchic event teams. I plan to use Froakie my self but I'm thinking about picking up a Squirtle because I have the tendency to always pick the water type starters. except Hoenn. I have to pick torchic, and I don't know why.

I share your pain OP. I get mine Monday. It's unbearable waiting for it and seeing everyone here have a fuck ton of fun playing it but I cant leave because I need to do something Pokemon related so badly.

Dude, Froakie is shit. Seriously. If you max out Sp. Atk and Speed on a Fennekin/Braxien/Delphox, you literally one shot everything with fire pledge or psychic. Even megas and pokemon it's weak to.

Charmander has the better mega out of the three, type wise, but you can be a fag and go grass if you want. Though why anyone in their right mind wants grass is beyond me. Go with Fennekin and squirtle for tanking or charmander for damage.

You get a free Torchic with decent IVs and Speed Boost.
If you go with Froakie, Bulbasaur seems like the obvious choice.

Also if you intend to use Charizard or Mewtwo, get Y.
X's mega evolutions are full retard.
