I know what you mean anon. My froakie ended up having a brave nature and I just rolled with it. I got lucky with a few like timid roselia, adamant honedge, and adamant trapinch. All my dudes are bros.

It's actually kind of liberating not being so anal about natures. As long as it's nothing too hindering, it gives your team character.

I remember once in fire red hunting down a jolly cubone with a thick club. That was hell.

I'm an autist about that. But it does seem to affect the in-game battles for me. My Kirlia has a Naive nature and, while it is fast, dies to every fucking attack it gets hit by. So I'm always paranoid about it.
