Can I get some confirmation as to whether shiny rates have indeed been increased in X and Y? I know there are "rumors" of it being true but I was wondering if we had any concrete facts yet.

I ask because I am historically an unlucky fucker in pokemon games. I've had like 1 shiny (a fucking caterpie) the entire time I've played.

My pokemon Y came today, and so I've not long been playing and what do you know, I find a shiny rash natured Litleo. I'm pretty stoked to be honest, but a part of me wishes it would have been male. I shouldn't complain about something like that though.

I guess this thread can be used to brag about the shinies you've obtained thus far in X and Y too, unless they are indeed common as fuck.
