in this gen getting shinies is TOO easy, if you breed for one you'll get it in UNDER 100 eggs. Random encounters seen to be half of what it used to be, and in horde battles you have around a 1 in 800 chance of 1 of the pokemon being a shiny.

literally 1 in 4 people browsing /vp/ right now have a shiny. All that combined with the fact that if you tip every singer, waiter, and bum you encounter 1000$, your chances to find shinnies, apparently, increase 4-fold.
