How can anyone complain about lack of postgame when there's such delicious fuckloads of stuff to do in the main story? Oodles of Pokemon, trainers up the wazoo, face it.

Most of that time was undoubtedly used up in amie and super training as was the case for me.
I don't consider grinding in amie and super training to be gameplay.

Because the game is pretty much over once you beat the champion except for competitive battling/pokedex.

In the last couple of games the Elite 4 was pretty much the halfway point.

Where's the stomping ground for my powerful Pokemon? Where's all the cool legendaries and difficult dungeons? Where are the powerful trainers with high level Pokemon?

It's normal for any pokemon game to have that sort of playtime in the first part of the game if you are getting everything and catching all of the pokemon, not something unique to x/y

Maybe for you, but even looking at the older games I hadn't spent this much time having so little badges.

In those games I also caught plenty of mons in every route, Y has been the only game that I had 21 and a half hours when I got my 2nd badge.

I thought there was a lot to do too, but after the third gym there's a HUGE drop in the amount of stuff you can do, and it just gets kind of boring. Face it, the postgame is a steaming pile of shit.

Sad but true, the majority of my time spent in the game was up to the third gym, then it just kind of blended together. The thing about it is you're always underleveled compared to the ai, but they play so shitty that it doesn't even matter. I beat the E4 in my upper 50's, the same night that I beat the 6th gym.

I've always been overleveled, even with Exp Share. I'm usually 10 levels ahead of a gym leader's highest Pokemon, and that's without ever grinding.
