Easily the best set of three starters since Gen I. All have good designs, all seem pretty useful and have their own playstyle. It's the first gen in ages that that I've really liked all 3 starters.

Never doubted any of them. Im using all 3 starters, and i love all 3.

Delphox is my favorite though. Exactly when I wanted, a faster Gardevoir that has a different set of checks (counters Grass/Ice/Bug instead of Dragon)

And does he not get Drain Punch at all? I'd heard he gets it from breeding, which is better than nothing, at even if not I'd be surprised if it didn't return as a tutor move next game.

I hated Delphox when I first saw pictures of it, but he slowly grew on me over time.

My only gripe with Chesnaught is he doesn't have a sword incorporated in his design. I don't know why I wanted that so much. Imagine him with Leaf Blade.

When will people get that a Pokemon's looks are just as important as its stats and moves? I was originally going for Chespin, but Chesnaught looks incredibly ridiculous with that carapace. Greninja looks amazing, but I'm picking Delphox since it saved Fennekin after that Braixen abomination imo, and since it allows me to use Pangoro without repeating types.

Only problem I have with the starters is that Chespin isn't even remotely related to a dinosaur/reptile/etc. and I've always really liked how the plant starters had that going for them.

Plus two of his three forms were butt ugly. Chesnaught is cool, at least, though his default pose is fucking stupid looking.

Going into the game I only liked Greninja's design...
Then I realized I was using Inkay and Pancham and didn't want to have three dark types.
So I switched to Chespin, whom I thought to be pretty goofy-looking.
Now I love him, absolute badass with solid stats and a workable movepool.
Plus my rival's using Delphox and she seem's pretty cool too.
Am going Greninja for my second run but Chesnaught is a serious hardass

They all grew on me ingame pretty quickly.

I really like Delphox, especially since it has good stats, moves, and gets to keep the wand.

And I can't wait to get one with the hidden ability and see what shenanigans I can pull with that.

I thought Greninja looked stupid in the leaks, but he's the best now. His animations are very aesthically pleasing, and the tongue scarf really adds some color and charm to him.

And fuck yeah his moveset, the most unique of all the water starters. Not just stronger attacks with each level, they're weird utility moves.

I think the problem was the shitty screenshots we got for how they first looked.

Sort of like how the game looked like utter dogshit in the reveal and trailers, but actually looks fine on the 3ds itself.

FINALLY someone who understands.
Everybody wants him to just be nothing but shades of blue all the way through. They don't know shit about design. The pink of the tongue contrasts well with all of the darker blue and looks really good.
