Mulch Recipes:
Rich Mulch - 3 different colored berries
Surprise Mulch - 3 same colored berries
Boost Mulch - 2 same colored and 1 different colored berry.
Amaze Mulch - "There are two berries that can make amaze mulch if you add either of them to a Mulch mix. Try adding lots of different berries and see if you can discover which ones are the necessary ingredients!"

As for mutations, it just says that thirteen different berries can be obtained this way, though it doesn't tell you which ones or how.
Just that after the first one, a scientist will approach you and that you can check with them for past mutations.
Nothing about crop yeilding, but there is a guide as to where each berry tree is if there's one you're looking for in particular?
