So, I Pokegen'd last generation. IVs are too time consuming and EVs are too boring. I usually just spawned a level 1-5 poke with perfect EVs and IVs at the beginning of a playthrough so I could at least have some adventures with them instead of using strangers to fight online.

Now, we all know the 3Ds will crack eventually and Pokegenning will return, but in the meantime I gotta know: Are IVs indeed disabled/leveled while playing against other people?

If that's the case, combined with the super trainer, I won't NEED to pokegen. Hell, I'm kicking ass online with my super trained team even now, but that might be because the japanese and neckbeard haven't really had enough TIME to IV train.
