Honestly Blaziken is one of the last Megas I would use. It's not a big enough difference from the normal speed boost one to be worth your mega slot.
I'd sooner use the ones that gain much more over their normal forms, like Charizard X for the stats, typing change and new ability, Kangaskhan for the ability, Mawhile for the increased stats + Huge Power, Gengar for shadow-tag.
With Mega Evos I think the important thing is not to get caught up looking at their huge base stats. They look impressive, but that's because mega stones advantage shows itself in the form of base stats and other items don't.
