Is there a reason nobody is talking about how shitty the 3D effect is?

It's super shallow most of the time, and the 3ds apparently can't handle these "amazing" graphics in 3D without dropping below 20fps.

It flat out just turns off the 3D in areas that don't even look that busy as well as horde battles.

There are prettier games on the 3ds that manage to pull it off.
This is just lazy, or some kind of performance bug they were too incompetent to fix.

If you have the 3d on, the backlight on and your using PSS expect your batteries to die every 20 minutes.

Also that isn't the reason I am not using 3d, I'm not using it because 3d entertainment is the stupidest fucking gimmick on the planet and I wish it would die until we have hightech ultra realistic virtual reality

It's actually pretty darn good in Mario Kart, 3D Land, and Kid Icarus, as well as Kingdom Hearts where doesn't even necessarily help gameplay.

I could care less about 3D mode but I do find it really funny how there is no 3D half the time.

Seeing the green "3D" light flicker on and off makes me giggle.

And no, the 3D genuinely looks fantastic in several games. This is actually the only 3DS game I've played where the effect was fucked up this badly, so to act like this isn't noteworthy at the very least is retarded.

The only time in the entire game where it actually lags is when they zoom in on both Pokemon in the battle screen
Other than that the game is running extremely smooth for me

3D effect a shit in the first place, I don't know why anyone would care.

The framerate issues otherwise bug me but it's not insanely bad and it's not some sort of action game or racing game or anything, so it doesn't bother me that much.

Also why is Victory Road like the only place in the overworld with 3D for some reason?

The FPS drops are obvious and there's very little depth with the 3D slider maxed out but it doesn't really impact the game.

The 3D effects in battle would be good if the 3DS could handle it, but it can't. So I just play with the 3D off except in cut-scenes/holo-shits.

The new 3D models for the pokemon are cool though, you can't argue with that can you?

Because there are differing opinions on whether the 3D effect in 3DS games is shit. The reason people would care is because it's COMPARATIVELY shit. If you already think most quality 3DS games look like shit with the slider turned on, I can't imagine what you'd think of this game.

And for people who actually appreciate the aesthetics of this gimmick, it's gotta be a pretty major letdown if it isn't activated half the time and looks more terrible than anything else on the market even when it IS activated.
