ITT: Speculations of upcoming content.

Do you guys think there will be a third game? Or will they take the B&W route and do a sequel?

Will they remake Hoenn? There's quite a few references to R/S so it looks likely IMO.

Will they release new legendaries for X/Y?

What do you guys think are the chances of there being event-exclusive Mega Stones? It'd cause a shitstorm if it were to be revealed that there are Mega Stones stashed away in the game's code that we can't access because nohacks4u

With X and Y bringing back the ability to plant and grow berries in the field and having characters put ribbons on your Pokémon again, I think a Hoenn remake is at least very likely. The contests and berry planting were two big parts of the third Generation's games, so to me it would be more odd to me to bring them back now "just because" versus getting players ready for the systems again in remakes.

I hopin for a DLC old region add on for X an Y. Not another league, but you go there and can fight some old gym leaders or champs, and have some small side quests you can do. Mainly just to be able to explore the old regions all in one game would be legit.

I don't mind a remake but Emerald isn't that dated. The graphics looks great, gameplay is solid, the content is still very fun, it's fine on it's own. Gen 1 and Gen 2 still weren't in that SNES level of 2D stage so it was understandable that they got remakes. So I'm not too excited about this. The X/Y engine looks great but I'm not excited to have this upgraded like I did Gen 1 and Gen 2. I'm not really craving any game to upgraded to 3D like I was craving G/S to be upgraded to the beautiful Gen 4 sprites. I guess Game Freak plans to do a set of remakes every system change? Does anyone really think Sinnoh needs a remake? I don't know I think this is unnecessary.

That said I'll play it just because I want more stuff to play but I'd rather just have new games instead of remakes.

I don't think DPPt needs remakes but I'm excited at the possibility of a handheld pokemon Colosseum/xd thing.

in fact Gen VI's ball animation feels like a worse
version of colloseum's snag to me.

It's not likely. Every region was referenced multiple times, and the others had more specific characters mentioned than Hoenn.

RSE remakes are pretty much guaranteed this gen. The Weather Trio, Sceptile, and Plusle/Minun are on the expanded trademark list for megas.

Serebii talked to that guy several times throughout the hotels, and he got this- he specifically said that it wasn't from any of the regions that we've seen so far. And the fact that a maid walked up to him and told him not to sell or discard it is more than a little suspicious.

Just a crazy theory, but what if instead of getting remakes we get sequels? Remember both of the remakes we've gotten were placed in generations where they both took place in the same timeframe. Gen 1 takes place in the same time Gen 3 takes place in, and Gen 2 takes place in the same time Gen 4 takes place in. Gen 6 takes place sometime after Gen 5 due to the references of Team Plasma shenanigans happening in the past in X/Y.

So here's what I'm thinking: Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire 2. This'll be the first time in ever we see time progression after Ruby & Sapphire (think of how Gold and Silver did with Kanto). You got the same region, but drastically different with new mons, a new starting town, older versions of the gym leaders, etc. And maybe even access to another region. Shit would be so cash.

I know about AZ, but what happened to Lysandre? Did he leave or get arrested or..?

Just beat 4th badge and 22 hours in. Don't plan to touch the badlands for another 8 hours at the very least.

The former Team Rocket Grunt in Black and White has the same odd speech pattern as the one who stole the power plant part in HGSS, so I'd guess there's about 5 years in game between them at least judging by the age of his son.
