I got a shiny Helioptile off the GTS, which I proceeded to Masuda since it was foreign. Got another shiny Helioptile about 10 eggs later with a semi-usable nature. Not bad.

When online your 3ds friends can click your icon and next to your player picture is a big nice button. I believe getting rated nice affects the shiny percentage. I only have a small occurrence since its only happened once but by getting the word out we can get a much larger group testing this then just having it randomly happen.

Well I just dumped $100,000 into tips and it just seems to increase the amount of horde encounters/frequency of rare Pokemon. At least for me.

Still, if you put those two together, you're encountering more Pokemon and with better chances of each being a shiny. That would explain why people are finding so many.

Shiny Bunnelby/Diggersby master race reporting in. Almost killed the thing because I wasnt sure what the normal color scheme was for this guy, being a new pokemon and all.

Diggersby looks much better shiny, the regular looks like he just covered himself in shit.

I have a habit of getting shiny's really early in the game, this is my 4th after mareep, pidgey and sentret (all from original Silver).

In White 2 I once bred four shinies in one week for friends (Masuda Method+Shiny Charm). Onix, Scyther, Absol, and Eevee. I think there were more, but I forget. I'm gonna have fun breeding more for when the poke bank/transfer finally come out.
