So, I was breeding some Skarmory for my little brother, when I noticed all my eggs were coming out as quick balls. Did I miss this info? Is there a way to choose what ball your egg will be in?

confirmed to use random balls in your inventory, if you try hatch one without having any left, it won't hatch.

So fucking finally we can have some real diversity in pokeball usage, with bred pokemon automatically being in Pokeballs before and all.

Found this out on the 14th when some poor sap lost his master ball (Last ball in inventory) while breeding for a Protean Froakie.

Incorrect.

The Pokeball the Mother is in will be the Pokeball the baby is in.

From now on, the Poké Ball the egg hatches in is now solely based upon the ball that the mother was caught in. OP here, I took the skarmory(female) out, and it was in a quick ball as well.

That's interesting! I guess now, the hunt is on for female pokemon in specific pokeballs.

Yeah I agree,
its very neat indeed, Now I wont have a miss match of Pokeballs to worry about when breeding.

My trainer is wearing a Black outfit so now I can have all Luxury Balls for my Pokemon.
(black Pokeballs for the win)

yep, I can confirm this, i've been hatching Inkays and sending them to the daycare, and they all hatched in premier balls
