Fairies have been horribly mishandled

>Not many actual fairy attacks
>The entire type is populated by 2cute girly trash
>There's fuckall in terms of original lines with fairy typing
>No Fairy/Ground Gnome
>No Fairy/Fire Salamander
>No Fairy/Steel Gremlin

At least when Dark/Steel were added they had variety right out of the gate

It's a neat idea, but much like Steel was in gen 2, will need a few more generations to iron out the kinks.
I hope it becomes less "kawaii type" and more things in-line with actual faeries since GF loves their obscure inspirations [like Carbink actually]. Give me some asshole Fairys.

Carbink is cute as hell though. It's the only Fairy I like so far. All of the other ones are ehhh.

Hopefully next gen will have some fairy bias like how 5 had a ton of steel and bugs.

Give us a few more abilities regarding fairies, and many more moves as well. Many. So that a mono fairy can get numerous STAB moves and other moves can be used by other types, like Rock Smash or Toxic.

Really good type is going to change the meta once people figure out how to use it. Of course needs another gen before it really gets off and running but it has so much potential right now.

Fairy typing was the best thing that could happen to Gardevoir and Azumarill, they really got fucking good because of it. Especially Gardevoir losing its Dark and Bug weakness was huge for it.

If they actually gave us like 4 more fairy types, with Fae themes like in this post >>14664534 I would enjoy the fairy type a lot more because fuck dragons. However we got shit like slurpee and aromatise or whatever and they look godawful and they suck shit. And the retconned pokemon got a little better but who the fuck wants to use clefairy and jiggles even after the retcon?

The only decent fairys are Gardvoir and megamawile right now, so expect fairys to do jack fucking shit and dragons still destroy everything.

I still feel it was unnecessary, when GameFreak could have just buffed the Ice type into the proper dragonslayers they were clearly meant to be.

But GameFreak seems bent on giving it the short end of the stick each generation, and insistent on adding DEFENSIVE Ice-types, even though Ice has only itself as a resistance, while having the nerve to be weak to Fire, Fighting, and (Stealth) Rock.

Oh, and they didn't nerf Stealth Rock. There's that, too.

Fairy's also overpowered as hell, at least in terms of type matchups. Possibly the only thing holding it back from being Generation 1 Psychic all over again is that most of the Fairies are terrible.

Yeah Fairy is pretty broken in theory, Dragon type didn't even take the largest hit here it's Dark type that now sucks dick because of Fairy. Pangoro and Scrafty are nearly worthless against a Fairy pokemon or Gardevoir now
