closest i came to completing a pokedex was the old pokemon blue, had 147 pokemon before my brother out of spite one day decided to start a new game and save it. Just to piss me off. Now trying to fill out a pokedex always reminds me of this and it always seems like a chore

I agree that collecting the pokés that are only obtainable via other games through migrating, transferring, etc. can be a drag, but the real fun is looking in your Dex to find the area where the mon you are missing is at

lol Milotic was the last poké I needed for that too (although I was playing Emerald)
I completed it when I was at one of the Pokémon Journey Across America things they had for the tenth anniversary by going down the line asking for other trainers if they had one
