Masuda Method. In Gen IV and V if you bred a Pokemon with one from another region, the offspring had a higher chance of being shiny. We are assuming it works the same way in Gen VI. Please let it still be working. Dear god kill me, I don't even want this shiny anymore, but I can't stop now.

The chances drop a ton. Normally it's about 1/8500 or something around there with mm its 1/1300. This is also why people believe shinies are more common now, they're getting 2 or 3 easy as hell.

Alright, so let me get this straight, because I've never done a big breeding operation like I'm about to start and the last thing I want to do is realize that I fucked up somewhere and have to start over:

I can get a shiny with a specific nature in a specific Pokeball by:

- Having the FEMALE caught in the ball I want
- Having an Everstone attached to EITHER parent with the nature I want (is it still 50% or did that change?)
- Using the Masuda Method

How do I know if the Masuda Method is in effect, does the foreign pokemon have to show the JAP, GER, ITA etc. tag on it's summary, or can someone from the US trade with an australian and have it work? Because there are no tags showing right now with this aussie pokemon.

I found two shiny Axeface while grinding the friend safari (caught a total of 100). Both Adamant, one of them has perfect IVs (31 Atk/Speed/HP, 25+ Defense/SpDef).
I'm loving the safari. Grinding Gyarados right now. Maybe the rate for shiny are higher there? We'll see.

In the process of grinding battle maison for an ability capsule. Already ground out enough BP for the sludge wave TM and the assault vest to make it half-decent.

I think there may be some of that at play here

also breed a bunch of synchronize ralts/abra/natu and then use that while grinding in friend safari for 50% chance of the nature you want appearing
