Im new to PokeRadar shiny hunting so any information on how you do it would be great

I wouldnt say it's better because with breeding you can control nature, iv's and have egg moves.

If this works anything like last time, it's a way better method of getting shinies. If you want more control, you'll have to breed of course. But using a synchronize lead gives you 50 % chance of getting your desired nature. And I think all poke's from the safari have 2 perfect IV's now? Doesn't matter in competitive battling though, where IV's are maxed.

Nope, no bikes either. Also does not work in Tall Grass so no Radar Chaining for a shiny Honedge sadly.

It's better than the Masuda Method too. From memory each encounter increases the shiny encounter rate by 2x, to a maximum of 1/200, rather than it's usual 1/8000. The Masuda Method only reduces it to about 1/1300.

You can also use Repels to prevent getting into unwanted encounters, which will break your chain. Repels don't effect the 'shaking' grass patches, you'll still encounter something as normal.

It doesn't work if you're on rollerblades and stops if you get on them midchain.

You need to stick to the DPad walking.

It's very frustrating considering they give you no real compelling reason to use the DPad the entire game.

You use it, 2-4 patches of grass shake.

You walk to it with repel on, and kill the pokemon there.

You try to "chain" it by going to the right patch (looks the same as the first one shakewise). This continues the chain, you keep knocking them out.

If the chain is broken by seeing a different poke you have to start over.

If you see a spot with some technicolor bullshit shaking going on that spot has a shiny.

The longer you chain the more likely a shiny spot will appear.

You use the Radar, and 2-4 patches of grass will 'wiggle', you then make your way to one of those patches and you'll find a Pokemon. Once you kill/capture it, you'll see a new bunch of patches 'wiggle'. Same thing, go over to one, you'll 95% of the time find the same Pokemon. I think it's after about 30 encounters your chance at finding a shiny is 1/200. Finding a different Pokemon will break the chain, but that just comes down to luck most of the time (unless I'm missing something).
