your stats don't swap, the bases just change. if you want high attack put your EVs in attack.

Get a pokemon with Compoundeyes, have it faint, put it in your first slot. (i.e. Vivillion, Butterfree, Yanma)
Put a pokemon with Frisk in the second slot and teach it Thief or trick (I.e. Yanma, Phantump, Pumpkaboo, Noibat)
Use the Old Rod on route 8 or anywhere in the western coastal region

I bred a couple and went with Lonely nature and maxed HP and attack EVs
Now I think about it I do want an attack nature but maybe not lowering defence one?

you put all the evs into defense so it has a higher base defense while in shield form. then when you swap forms it takes his defense stat( which is higher because defense evs) and swaps it with his low attack stat (no evs). Learn yours.

It doesn't have a separate set of base stats, they literally swap places. Defense EVs will result in higher attack upon switching forms whereas Attack EVs will convert the stat gain to Defense upon changing form. In other words, Def+HP is the way to go.

Go get someone else to test it for you then you idiot.

The base stats swap, the EVs stay the same. So 60 base attack and 150 base defense with 63 EV-granted stat points in Attack will result in 150 base attack, 60 base defense plus 63 EV-granted base attack. The EVs don't fucking swap, this is not Power Trick, this is a change in base stats, do you understand or are you fucking retarded?
