am i the only one who thinks that there are far too few new mega evolutions?

i mean, they praised it like a whole new gaming experience, and they tried to focus the game more on the mega evolutions than having new pokémon. i would have accepted this, if there are like ~150 new Mega Evolutions instead of just 70 new Pokémon AND 28 Mega Evolutions.

tl;dr GF is Lazy

I actually agree.
When we found out that there were only 70 new Pokemon, I thought for sure we'd at least get 50 megas.

GF introduced an entirely new battle mechanic, and only a handful of the 718 Pokemon can utilize it. It's pretty disappointing to say the least.

If you want to use a mega evolution, you're limited to a very select few Pokemon, which will make teams less varied.

I actually kind of wished that a third of those megas were actual evolutions rather than temp. evolutions. Pinsir and Mawile def. need the Scizor treatment.

Pretty much. Then you have the 1 limit per team garbage.

Yea thanks GF now all the Megas you made will never be completely fucking used thanks to that limit even though some are not overpowered. Only a select few will be used. So go on keep making shitty megas that will never see usage instead of actual evolutions. Pinsir's mega is an example of this.

They'll probably be thrown in in future games this generation. Mega evolutions are essentially forms for Pokemon, and we've seen that GF loved to throw those around willy-nilly during the course of G4 and G5.
