Well, I'm a bit disappointed. I was really hoping this guy would be cut out for OU, but it's painfully apparent its not.

I was really surprised how bad its movepool is. If it could have learned Focus Blast, Aura Sphere, or Thunderbolt, it would have had much better coverage. Hell, if it could have learned a Fairy move I'd have been happy. Abilities could have redeemed this bad ass wizard, but it was not to be. Blaze is a shitty ability as is, and its hidden ability is mediocre at best. I suppose it could fill a niche spot on some teams, but other Pokemon perform its function better.

I was so hopeful Delphox would be a competitively viable Pokemon. It had great Sp. Attack and decent speed. The typing is okay, but its lack of moves and decent abilities all but kills it for the competitive scene.

Am I being too pessimistic, /vp/, or is my analysis pretty close to the truth?
