I think the new villians should be based in drug cartels.

I think something like the opposite of Team Plasma could work, with the rationale that pokemon are clearly dangerous for human lives.

The version mascots are all about mental strength and physical strength, so they want to use the version mascots to either eliminate their free will or weaken them to the point where they pose no threat to human lives.

This sounds fun. And would give me really good incentive to want to kick their ass. Maybe they believe pokemon are the only species worth existing and actaully believe they are pokemon because crazy. And their costume is hoodies with pokemon ears and tails or whatever. Very valid idea.

Two Teams:
Order and Disorder

Order seeks control of the world to prevent any wildcards. They will stop trainers with one, strong pokemon.
Disorder wants the world to be free of rules, and uses sheer numbers to work towards mass chaos.

The two teams constantly fight each other, like Magma and Aqua.

They'd want to pull the world back into a more "natural" age. They'd shut down entire towns, Gyms, Pokemon Centers, Power Plants, and the such.

What if the Evil Team Leader was actually the Champion? I'd like them to do something like that to demonstrate he's not one to fuck with. Either that or make him secretly a legendary Pokemon disguised as a human, who trains his own team of Pokemon. After you defeat him in the story, you can catch him.
